Install and first run

Time: 10 minutes. You need: the email from us with your app's address, and a phone with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or similar). Nothing to install: SocioRelay runs on our UK servers and posts on time even when your computer is off.

Step 1: Choose your password

  1. Open the link in the email "Your SocioRelay app is ready" (it works once, for 14 days).
  2. Choose a password of at least 12 characters (a password manager can make one).

Step 2: Turn on two-step sign-in

  1. On the same page, scan the code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or similar), or type the key shown under it.
  2. Type the 6-digit code the authenticator app shows and press Finish. You're signed in.
  3. Bookmark your app's address (for example https://your-business.app.sociorelay.com), or add it to your phone's home screen. Next time, sign in there with your email, password and a new 6-digit code.
  4. Link expired, or lost your phone? Email info@sociorelay.com and we'll send a new link.

Step 3: Set up the business

  1. In the app, open Business and platforms.
  2. Fill in the business name, website, town or area, and time zone.
  3. Choose the Industry.
  4. Press Use the suggested platforms, times and hashtags for this industry, then confirm.
  5. Tick the Areas of interest you want to post about. Add your own topic ideas, one per line.
  6. Check the Platforms and posting times table: tick or untick platforms, and change any time or day.
  7. Under Brands, add the logo file name (see Step 4) and the Facebook Page ID if you use Facebook.
  8. Press Save settings.

Step 4: Add the logo

  1. Save the logo as a PNG with a transparent background, at least 800 pixels wide.
  2. In Business and platforms > Brands, press Upload logo and choose the file. Save.
  3. It appears on TikTok and YouTube videos, Pinterest pins, branded images and blog headers.

Step 5: Connect each platform and your website

  1. Open Connections. Platforms you switched on are listed first.
  2. For each one, press Log in and approve on the platform. There are no keys to copy: your app uses SocioRelay's own connection. Bluesky needs an app password instead (guide 09).
  3. A green label shows when a platform is connected. Each platform's guide has tips (for example linking Instagram to your Facebook Page first), and guide 31 covers your website blog.
  4. AI writing is ready from the start with your plan's AI credits (guide 18).

Step 6: Check alerts

  1. Home shows Automatic posting: on. Posting runs every 30 minutes on our servers; there is nothing to keep switched on.
  2. Press Send a test alert. An email arrives at your account address within a few minutes.

Opening the app later

Open your bookmark, or go to https://sociorelay.com/account and press Open your app. Works on any computer, tablet or phone.

Updates

We update your app for you, usually overnight. The Home page lists what changed.
