Security and privacy

Where your data lives

  1. In your own app on our UK servers. Each business has its own app and its own storage. Posts, settings, images, topic plans and reports live there.
  2. Keys, passwords and platform logins are encrypted with a key that belongs to your business alone. Your app never shows a saved secret again after you paste it.
  3. Sign-in needs your password and a 6-digit code from your authenticator app. After 5 wrong tries the sign-in locks for 15 minutes.
  4. Posts go from your app to each platform through the platform's official API.
  5. Backups: your app is backed up every night, encrypted, with a separate provider in the EU.
  6. AI drafts (optional) send the topic and your business description to the AI service (our AI credits, or the provider you choose).
  7. Our access: we only open your app to help you when you ask, and every access is logged. See the Data Processing Terms at https://sociorelay.com/data-processing.

Good habits

  1. Use a strong password for your app, and keep your recovery codes safe.
  2. Give each team member their own sign-in (Agency and Pro); never share yours.
  3. Use app passwords and tokens (as the guides describe), not your main account passwords.
  4. Turn on two-step verification on every social account.
  5. If a key or password may have leaked: create a new one on the platform, paste it into the app, and delete the old one there.
  6. Remove access you no longer use: each platform's settings list connected apps (see https://sociorelay.com/data-deletion).

Leaving

When a plan ends, posting pauses and your app is kept for 30 days. Ask us for an export within that time. After that it is deleted, and backups expire within 6 months.
