Blog - Squarespace and other website builders

Squarespace, Weebly (Square Online), GoDaddy Website Builder, Jimdo, Hostinger Website Builder, Site123, Strikingly and Webnode do not let outside tools post blog articles. A website built by hand or by a designer on ordinary hosting is different: it can get a blog automatically with guide 32 (one file, any hosting with PHP) or guide 33 (SFTP or FTP). The agent still plans, writes and checks each article, then prepares it for you to paste in about 3 minutes. Its promotion posts wait until you tell the app the article is live.

Step 1: Add the website in the app

1. Blog > Add a website. Blogging system: Any other (ready-to-paste export).
2. Website address and Blog name. Press Save. (Nothing to connect.)
3. If your blog posts live at an address other than /blog/(slug), set Article address pattern, for example {url}/post/{slug}.

Step 2: Each article

1. Write, check and approve it as in guide 10.
2. At its Goes live time, the agent creates a folder in Posting Packs\Blog\ with:
   • article.html: the article,
   • details.txt: title, SEO title, meta description, web address ending, category, summary,
   • the header image. You also get an alert.

Step 3: Paste it into your website

1. Open your website's blog editor and create a new post.
2. Open article.html in a web browser (double-click it), select all, copy and paste into the editor. (Or paste the HTML into the editor's HTML or code view, if it has one.)
3. Copy the title, web address ending, SEO title and meta description from details.txt into the post's settings.
4. Add the header image and publish.

Step 4: Tell the app it is live

1. In the app, open Blog, click the article, press Mark as live and paste its web address.
2. The promotion posts and Pinterest pin are then released.
