TikTok

Time: 5 minutes. How it works: each post day, at the TikTok time, the agent turns the post into a 15 to 25 second moving-gallery video with music and sends it to the TikTok app's inbox as a draft. You open TikTok, paste the caption and tap Post: about one minute. (Fully automatic TikTok posting needs TikTok's audit, which is rarely given to single businesses.)

Connect

  1. In the app, open Connections > TikTok. It says it uses SocioRelay's own app.
  2. Press Log in. Approve in the browser while signed in to the business TikTok account.
  3. Press Send a test draft. Within a few minutes a notification appears in the TikTok app. Open the inbox draft to check it, then delete it.

Coming soon: TikTok is still reviewing SocioRelay's app, so TikTok can't be connected yet. We'll email you as soon as it opens; it's included in your plan.

Choose the music

  1. Open Business and platforms > Extras and choose Background music for videos: Calm, Upbeat, Warm, Bright or None. Press Play to listen. These are SocioRelay's own tracks: free to use in your business videos, including ads.
  2. Want your own music? Open Use your own music, choose the file (MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC, under 15 MB), say where it comes from, and tick the box to confirm you own it or have a licence for business videos. Only music you made or licensed for business use (for example from Epidemic Sound or Artlist): a song you bought or stream is not allowed, and TikTok mutes videos that use one.
  3. A different track for one post? Choose it under Music for the TikTok and YouTube video in Write a post.

Every post day

  1. A notification arrives at the TikTok time. Open the draft.
  2. Copy the caption: in the app, open Scheduled posts, click the post, press Edit text next to TikTok and copy it.
  3. Paste the caption and tap Post.

Your own developer app (optional, advanced)

Only needed if Connections asks you for keys instead of offering Log in, or if you'd rather use your own developer app. Paste its keys in Connections, press Save keys, then Log in. Use your app's callback address shown in Connections (for example https://your-business.app.sociorelay.com/callback).

Step 1: Create the app

  1. Go to https://developers.tiktok.com, sign in, and open Manage apps > Connect an app.
  2. Fill in the app name, an icon (1024 x 1024), category, description, and your website's terms and privacy policy addresses.

Step 2: Add the products

  1. Click Add products and add Login Kit and Content Posting API.
  2. Scopes: make sure user.info.basic and video.upload are listed.
  3. Login Kit > Platform: choose Desktop.
  4. Redirect URI: your app's callback address, shown in Connections (for example https://your-business.app.sociorelay.com/callback)

Step 3: Use the Sandbox

  1. At the top of the app page, switch to Sandbox and create a sandbox.
  2. Sandbox settings > Target users: add your business TikTok account.
  3. Copy the Client key and Client secret shown for the sandbox.

Step 4: Connect in the app

  1. Connections > TikTok: paste the key and secret. Press Save keys.
  2. Press Log in. Approve in the browser while signed in to the business TikTok account.

Good to know

  1. TikTok allows only about 5 drafts waiting at once. Post or delete old drafts, or new ones wait (an alert tells you).
  2. Each "→" point in a post becomes its own slide, so lists make good videos.
  3. The same video is used for YouTube Shorts (guide 06).
