Blog - HubSpot

Time: 10 minutes. Needs: a HubSpot account with Content Hub (CMS) and a blog, and super admin rights.

Step 1: Create a private app

  1. In HubSpot, click the settings icon > Integrations > Private apps (in newer accounts: Development > Legacy apps, create a private app).
  2. Click Create a private app. Name it "SocioRelay".
  3. Scopes: tick content (blog posts) and files (header images).
  4. Click Create app, confirm, and copy the access token.

Step 2: Add the website in the app

  1. Blog > Add a website. Blogging system: HubSpot CMS.
  2. Website address: your blog's domain, for example https://www.yoursite.com.
  3. Paste the Private app access token. Press Save.
  4. Press Test connection. It lists your blogs with their ids.
  5. Press Settings, fill in the Blog id, and the Blog path (the part after your domain, often blog). Save.

Good to know

  1. The header image is uploaded to HubSpot's file manager and set as the featured image.
  2. Each article is created and then scheduled to go live one minute later.
