Blog - Webflow
Time: 10 minutes. Needs: a Webflow site with a CMS plan and a blog collection, published at least once.
Step 1: Create an API token
- In Webflow, open the site's Site settings > Apps and integrations > API access.
- Click Generate API token. Name it "SocioRelay".
- Give CMS read and write access. Click Generate and copy the token.
Step 2: Find the collection id
- Open the site in the Designer > CMS panel > your blog collection > Collection settings.
- Copy the Collection ID.
Step 3: Add the website in the app
- Blog > Add a website. Blogging system: Webflow CMS.
- Website address: for example
https://www.yoursite.com. - Paste the Blog collection id and the Site API token. Press Save.
- Press Test connection. It lists the collection's fields, for example
Post Body = post-body. - Press Settings and set Body field slug, Summary field slug and Image field slug to match. Save.
- If your posts live at an address other than
/blog/, set Article address pattern, for example{url}/post/{slug}.
Good to know
- Webflow takes images by web address. Upload the header image to Webflow's Assets (or anywhere public), copy its address and paste it in the article's Image web address.
- Articles are published live straight away at their time.
