Blog - BigCommerce

Time: 10 minutes. Needs: store owner access.

Step 1: Create an API account

  1. In BigCommerce, go to Settings > Store-level API accounts (or Advanced settings > API accounts).
  2. Click Create API account and choose V2/V3 API token. Name it "SocioRelay".
  3. Set Content to modify. Leave the rest as none. Click Save.
  4. Copy the Access token, and note the API path: https://api.bigcommerce.com/stores/abc123/v3/. The part after stores/ (here abc123) is the store hash.

Step 2: Add the website in the app

  1. Blog > Add a website. Blogging system: BigCommerce.
  2. Website address: your store's address, for example https://www.yourshop.com.
  3. Paste the Store hash and API account access token. Press Save, then Test connection.

Good to know

  1. Articles go live at /blog/(slug)/ straight away.
  2. For a header image, put its public address in the article's Image web address (for example, an image uploaded to your store's files).
